These fun images are from my after school event at TelHi for 2nd through 5th graders. In spite of having a full day before, the children managed to rally. I had them color, write in the speech bubbles and doodle in the monster. Once they had finished, we made paper planes and flew them. Of course one ended in the radiator! It was all over in a jiffy and they ran off for their snack—such fun. Check out more images from TelHi here.
This the final version of a learn-to-draw cartoon page for my event today at TelHi's after school program. I will give the 2nd through 5th graders a choice of a cartoon / doodle or this how-to-draw Gussie Goose page. I have already posted the two page cartoon / doodle, which you can find on my Cartooning page along with Gussie Goose as FREE downloadables!
This doodle / cartoon is for my September event at TelHi as part of their after school program. The children will be 2nd graders through 5th, and all will get a silly two page cartoon to color and to write in the bubbles. On the second page, they will get to doodle the suggested character and make it their version of the monster!
You can find FREE downloadables of all my cartoons on my Cartooning page.
In case you missed it, I have added a brand new page dedicated to my Cartoon events at TelHi, the first of which was this June and that will resume this fall. Starting in September I shall post more photos of the TelHi children's efforts here on my blog and also on the Cartooning page. Please visit my page for photos of the June event and FREE downloads of my cartoon pages!
I can’t resist posting yet another bunch of images from my TelHi summer school event with 2nd through 5th graders. We were learning to do cartoons. They worked well together and were terrific fun. One of them told me my Fritzy Bang Bang character was a knock-off—there is always a critic in the room!
I hope to continue leading cartoon events with TelHi children in the Fall, helping them with their own characters and stories. I will post my prompt ideas during the summer and will appreciate any comments as this is new to me. Check out my NEW page about Cartooning at TelHi!
