This is BULLY BUSTER, one of my favorite Color and Write Story protagonists. I am going to try him out June 15th at TelHi. I have created a summer event for 2nd to 5th graders. I hope the children will find learning how to draw cartoon characters interesting. I will give them a felt tipped pen to draw over the guidelines. If it is a success, I will move on to working with them on their own characters. I will post the results. Fingers crossed!!
These photos are from my first TelHi event with my Color and Write Stories. I was delighted that so many of the children opted to participate and then asked me to come back and do some more. The children went from K to 5th, so we needed projects of different ability. The older children got stories with speech bubbles. This boy is working on my FRITZY BANG BANG CREATES A STAR story.

This is the third page of my BULLY BUSTER AND THE PUPPIES coloring story. Bully Buster the dragon robot superhero flies around the world stopping bullies of any kind when he sees them. This is the happy conclusion of his confrontation with a meanie big bad dog. Children can color the page and write any silly thing they wish in the speech bubbles.

This is the second page of my BULLY BUSTER AND THE PUPPIES coloring story. On this page Bully Buster the dragon robot superhero confronts the meanie big bad dog who tries to steal from the puppies.
This is a story that you get to write by filling in the speech bubbles. As this is for children just beginning to write, I have filled in some of the speech bubbles. You can say any silly thing you wish with the rest of the speech bubbles and make the story your own. Download this and more coloring stories for free on my Bully Buster page.
This illustration was for a book about Zoe and her sister Lilly. Zoe likes to play superhero and her helper. Her helper was of course her little sister Lilly. Lots of squabbling followed. In this story, they are Superhero mermaids and are saving the oceans. The book is full of make believe play and endless craft projects as they first paint their ocean and then make all the sea animals before diving into it in their super sub.
Saving the oceans is a recurring theme in many of my books. The polluting of the oceans and our future lack of oxygen is of great concern to me.
