This is my happy SUMMER project happening June 20 at 2pm at the North Beach Public Library in San Francisco. I want to put children in the right mood for a carefree summer and test their motor skills. They will have a separate object to color and stick on, plus letters spelling 'SUMMER' to stick over the penciled-in words.
On June 20th at 2 pm (please note the special day and time for summer school) I am doing an Art And Craft—SUMMER event at the North Beach branch of the San Francisco Public Library. This SUMMER Art and Craft project has lots of challenges for little fingers. First they color with water soluble pastels, then paint on water to mix up the colors. After that they can stick on anything that grabs their fancy. This project has letters to be glued on spelling summer. It also has a colored cut out object to glue separately. Join us next week to celebrate summer!
These drawings were supposed to be the beginning to a series (one must think big!) of an intrepid team going on adventures and saving the oceans.
Woof is the team member who lives in San Francisco. The rest live on the Super Sonic Sunny Sub. The book starts with Woof finding a toy sunfish on the beach. He cleans it up and cuddles with it in bed. This toy is called Sunny and of course is no ordinary toy. When there is danger in the ocean, it glows and sends out signals. Woof, then guided by Sunny, finds his way to the Super Sonic Sunny Sub and is good to go on the mission.
If you want to see how he finds his way to the Super Sonic Sunny Sub, you will have to see my TBT this coming Thursday. You can also go to my site and see the first TBT of this story.
