These fun images are from my after school event at TelHi for 2nd through 5th graders. In spite of having a full day before, the children managed to rally. I had them color, write in the speech bubbles and doodle in the monster. Once they had finished, we made paper planes and flew them. Of course one ended in the radiator! It was all over in a jiffy and they ran off for their snack—such fun. Check out more images from TelHi here.
Please, everyone come to my ANIMAL FACES art and craft event at the North Beach branch of the San Francisco Public Library this Thursday. The fun will begin September 21st at 4:00 PM. It will involve easy large drawings to be colored with water soluble crayons. After that, the best part, there will be millions of fun things to stick on. I am following the children’s example and coloring everything any color I choose. I have done examples of animals eating grass and leaves but ran into trouble with the lion. I could hardly show him chomping on bambi! See my other fall events on my Events page.
Starting this month I am going to lead cartoon projects in an after school program for children 2nd through 5th grade. What do you think of this page that guides children to draw a skateboarder?
HELP! Which is better – DOODLE / CARTOONS or CARTOONING? Please comment with your thoughts! Starting in September I am going to lead projects in an after school program for children 2nd through 5th grade. Should I do funny stories encouraging children to finish them off doodling or should I teach step by step cartooning?
Doodling is such a carefree happy activity that I can’t make up my mind. Should I give them a choice?
