See the different ways children made their crafts at my FISH Art and Craft Event at North Beach Public Library! Some versions have only glued-on items, and others have a wonderful combination of coloring, painting, and glued-on objects.

Last Thursday at the North Beach branch of the San Francisco Public Library, I had my FISH Art and Craft event. I was thrilled with the amazing turnout—such fun!
I love the fact that the moms paint and glue as much as the children. The soluble crayons can be tricky at first so am noticing more and more exciting results as everyone is getting used to them. I thought the boys would go for the sharks but the girls were very keen on them as well. They of course stuck pink flowers and gems all over them!
Some of my budding artists preferred painting and others gluing—both with terrific results. See my events calendar page for future Art and Craft Projects.
This is an image from one of my books, The Day Duddley Jumped Into Monterey Bay. In this story, Duddley (inspired by my dog Henry!) jumps into Monterey Bay and interacts with all the sea creatures. I had a small problem with Duddley being able to breathe under water, so I had him dreaming the whole adventure. When he wakes up, he trots off to the Monterey Bay Aquarium to see all of his sea creature pals. This is part of a list of the sea creatures he interacts with for the children reading the book.
