I never get over how creative children are. These are some results from my ANIMAL HEADS event at the North Beach branch of the San Francisco Public Library. They colored my permanent ink drawings with water soluble crayons and then stuck on all and everything. I especially like the cow’s do, with sticking up yarn and flowers! See more images from my events on my Art and Craft Projects page!
I can't believe how much fun we all had at my ANIMAL HEADS Art and Craft event at the North Beach branch of the San Francisco Public Library. Everyone was given permanent ink drawings to color with water soluble crayons and then go mad with sticking on crazy stuff.
During my events, my favorite results come from Preschoolers when adults leave them to let their creativity run wild. I don’t think any panda has ever looked better! See more images from my Art and Craft Library events here!
It is September and I have started back up with my events at the North Beach Branch of the San Francisco Public Library. I provided drawings of animal heads in permanent ink and the children colored with water soluble crayons, sloshed water about and stuck on a million things.
I had forgotten how much fun it is seeing the children fully engaged. The expression on the small boy’s face while creating a sort of mud pie made it all worthwhile. See my future library events on my Calendar page.
TODAY is September 21st—the day for ART WITH ELIZABETH at the San Francisco Public Library, North Beach Branch at 4:00 PM! We are doing an ANIMAL FACES ART AND CRAFT PROJECT. You are all welcome to come and join us. The North Beach library is located at 850 Columbus Ave., San Francisco.
NIKO DRAWS A FEELING is an inspiring book for children who love to draw and capture their thoughts and the world around them.
Niko draws everything in his world but in his own way, and loves the feeling when he succeeds. He sees things differently from other people, such as drawing the ring-a-ling of an ice cream truck as opposed to the truck itself. His friends don’t always know what to make of his drawings, but he knows when he has succeeded in his aim and is on to the next drawing to try and recapture the exhilarating feeling.
This book is a wonderful inspiration to let loose and paint.
