Goosie Gus and Squeaker are out for a 4th of July spin. There is nothing they like better than speeding along with their American flags fluttering in the breeze. They love being American and celebrating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence 241 years ago on July 4th, 1776.

Happy 4th of July to EVERYONE!

SUMMER ART & CRAFT PROJECT AT NORTH BEACH PUBLIC LIBRARY – PART 3

More amazing results from my SUMMER event at North Beach Public Library!

More amazing results from my SUMMER event at North Beach Public Library!

These photos are from my SUMMER event at the North Beach branch of the San Francisco Public Library. The children use water soluble crayons over my permanent ink drawings. Crayons are easier than paints for small children to control.

The children are endlessly creative and this time used vivid colors. I love the fact someone turned the trowel in the bucket into a cactus. As always the sticking on part is the best! See more of my event photos on my Art and Craft Projects page!

SUMMER ART & CRAFT PROJECT AT THE LIBRARY – PART 2

Moms and Kids at my SUMMER Art and Craft Project event, and one of the amazing results!

Moms and Kids at my SUMMER Art and Craft Project event, and one of the amazing results!

Here are children and moms seriously creating wonders! They took part in my SUMMER Art and Craft Project event at the North Beach branch of the San Francisco Public Library. They started with my permanent ink drawings with an object to cut out and stick on, plus letters to add. I always give them water soluble crayons and water to swish around.

The favorite part is sticking on endless objects. As you can see no summer painting is complete without a variety of butterflies and a blue strawberry!

Before my SUMMER Art & Craft event, and one of the wonderful results!

My SUMMER event at the North Beach branch of the San Francisco Public Library was tons of fun! I put out hand drawn pages in permanent ink. Children also got an individual object to color and cut out, plus letters spelling SUMMER. They then had water soluble crayons and endless stuff to stick on. The butterflies went very quickly!

I am so proud of the children’s creativity—they never disappoint! It is a privilege to work with them. See more of my events on my Art and Craft Projects page.

CARTOONING AT TelHi WITH GRADES 2-5 – Part 2

Click on an image to open a slideshow!

These 2nd through 5th graders from TelHi are a charming mixture of students from different backgrounds. These photos are from my cartooning event during their summer school program. The children got on splendidly together and fed off each other’s energy. You can see from the results how talented they are. I hope to get them back in the Fall to concentrate on working on their own characters. I will post possible ideas during the summer. See images of my other Art and Craft Projects here!
