This is the front cover of my picture book, FUDDLEY DUDDLEY MAKES FRIENDS, about a yorkie (inspired by my dog Henry) meeting birds and bugs in his garden. I believe children are fascinated by bugs, so I keep adding them to my books.
This is an image from one of my books, The Day Duddley Jumped Into Monterey Bay. In this story, Duddley (inspired by my dog Henry!) jumps into Monterey Bay and interacts with all the sea creatures. I had a small problem with Duddley being able to breathe under water, so I had him dreaming the whole adventure. When he wakes up, he trots off to the Monterey Bay Aquarium to see all of his sea creature pals. This is part of a list of the sea creatures he interacts with for the children reading the book.
This is an image from one of my books. It is about my dog Henry, called Fuddley Duddley in this story, living in San Francisco. We do live in San Francisco but sadly not in this Victorian house with its large garden on top of a hill. Fuddley Duddley needed a large garden in this story as it is about him playing with all the bugs and birds. Through an adventure he learns to be less rough when playing. All ends up as peaceful and happy as this illustration.
This is an image from one of my books. I have a yorkie named Henry and of course can't stop drawing him. He has made it into my books in many versions of himself. Sadly, he never became famous as I never got published. Still, I had a lot of fun staring into his sweet fuzzy face, trying to capture his spirit and send him on imaginary adventures.
This is an image from one of my books, JASMINE AND BOO. In this story Jasmine and her imaginary cat friend Boo have moved and are trying to make friends. Jasmine has taken her irresistibly delicious muffins over to meet her neighbor. For once chocolate fails to produce its magic effect – he is clearly a mean bully and Boo is horrified!
