A VERSION OF HENRY

Henry the Yorkie, Illustration by Elizabeth B Martin

This is an image from one of my books. I have a yorkie named Henry and of course can't stop drawing him. He has made it into my books in many versions of himself. Sadly, he never became famous as I never got published. Still, I had a lot of fun staring into his sweet fuzzy face, trying to capture his spirit and send him on imaginary adventures.

PET PORTRAIT – JAZZ

Jazz is a spunky havanese. From all the photos from the client, I chose this pose. I loved his assertive positive look. Jazz is definitely not bashful and is quite pleased with himself, which is as it should be. I paint pet portraits professionally, so please check out my Pet Portraits page. I have many more examples and would be delighted to paint your furry or feathered friend.

PET PORTRAIT – ANNIE

Annie is beautiful but painting her was quite a challenge. All the photos from the client depicted her with a sulky look. I loved her ill-tempered look and wanted to paint it. All the same, I realized that wasn’t one of my better ideas and we persevered until Annie had a change of heart. I paint pet portraits professionally, so please check out my Pet Portraits page. I have many more examples and would be delighted to paint your furry or feathered friend.

Zoe is the cat of a close friend of mine. Like all self-respecting cats, she is adorable, opinionated and spoiled! I paint pet portraits professionally, so please check out my Pet Portraits page for many more examples! I would be delighted to paint your furry or feathered friend.

FLOWERS & BUTTERFLIES AT THE LIBRARY – PART TWO!

There were so many brilliant results from my FLOWERS AND BUTTERFLIES Art and Craft Project at North Beach Public Library, I had to share a few more. First we colored with CARAN D’ACHE water soluble pastels, then painted on water to mix up the colors. After that we stuck on anything and everything. I made a video about the setup and materials for the Art and Craft Project event.
